It's worth playing around with if you want to see if you like the old look and feel. I do wish 1.9.2 had the FX plugins, but thats what mixers are for right? These models are Serato Approved USB Controllers for 2.1 (PDF Quickstart Guide) The Rane SL 3 is an audio interface for Scratch Live. I tested v2.5 for a while after it was the final release, and it's pretty great don't get me wrong, but it has never been MY Serato version if you know what I mean. A few of the v2.X versions were buggy and I just reverted to 1.9.2 and stayed put. Though I've used many versions of ScratchLive and Serato DJ, SL v1.9.2 + the Rane SL1 box has never failed me. ![]() Oh and don't get me started on the Serato DJ Exit Yes/No screen big enough to see from space. Download and install Scratch Live 2.3.3 from here > Scratch Live Downloads Archive After installing Scratch Live 2.3.3 go to the Setup > Hardware tab and select to 'Update Firmware.' The Rane TTM 57SL should now be recognized by Scratch Live 2.4.0 and above. When 2.0+ came out they made the fonts bigger, buttons square, etc. This is because your Rane TTM 57SL has an older firmware version installed. The old offline player is also nicer looking. Introducing the Rane SL 3 for Serato Scratch Live More information here. ![]() There was a simple elegance to the design that looks cleaner & better IMO on older, lower resolution laptops. v1.9.2 and below had the original Scratch Live UI pictured above which I love (plus that sexy red icon looks good in the dock on Mac, amirite?). Honestly there are probably only a few of us SL users left that use any version besides 2.5, but personally my reasons are: USB 2.0 high-speed audio interface for Scratch Live software Improved dynamic range: 104dB 24-bit/44.1kHz or 48kHz resolution Aux input for live mix. If you do need to disable it, read how to do that here *You shouldn't have to disable MacOS System Integrity Protection (SIP) to use this method, but full disclosure mine is always off so I don't know. That's it! Have fun using Scratch Live on a newer OS. Check the box that says ENABLE VIDEO-SL PLUGIN and enter your serial number. Open Serato Scratch Live, you will now see the PLUGINS tab added under SETUP. Download and unzip Serato Video-SL 1.2.0.zip and drag the ScratchLIVE folder intoĬ:/Library/Application Support (OSX may ask for your admin password). Connect Serato SL1 or compatible Hardware. Download and unzip Serato Scratch Live 1.9.2.zip and drag Scratch Live.app to the Applications Folder. If you don't already have your installed Scratch Live.app to copy over, you can download mine here: You can bypass this by copying a previously installed version from your Applications folder on your old OS to the Applications folder on the new OS. ![]() dmg/.mpkg file will fail on newer versions of OSX (10.10-10.14). For anyone still using older versions of Serato Scratch Live, here is a workaround to install v1.9.2 on Mojave (Also tested on 10.12 Sierra). Tested and working with a RANE SL1 box, 2011 Macbook Pro on 10.14 Mojave.
